About Questionable Intent
Questionable Intent
Guild Charter
Origins
Questionable Intent was founded by a small group of friends who strongly believe that fun is more important than seeing content or getting gear. In our minds, participating in a guild-first kill on a boss, or finally receiving that loot-drop you’ve been wanting for weeks on end is great, but if you can’t stand the people you are with, or the environment of your guild as a whole, the value of that moment is lessened. So we came together to build the kind of place that we had always wanted. A place that, above anything else we will accomplish together, our members will always think of as home.
Purpose
Questionable Intent is a raiding guild, with an initial focus on 10-man content in Wrath of the Lich King. Even though we are a raiding guild, and we take those raids very seriously, we also wish to foster a less “hardcore” attitude, in order to prevent raider burnout, and increase the overall enjoyment of all our members as we steadily progress through content. As with anything, evaluations and adjustments can and will be made from time to time in order to continue the advancement of both the guild’s and its member’s goals. We will consider transitioning to 25-man raiding based upon guild membership and interest.
Code of Conduct
All members of Questionable Intent are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful and considerate manner toward other players, both in-guild and outside. Remember that your actions not only reflect on your own character but that of the guild as a whole. Behaviors that are counter to the continued good reputation of QI on Argent Dawn, or are in some other way harmful to the guild, will be subject to appropriate disciplinary action as decided upon by the guild Officers on a case-by-case basis. Any actions that violate the WoW ToS or EULA are completely unacceptable and are grounds for removal from the guild upon review by the Officers.
Requirements
Players who wish to attend progression level raids with QI have the following requirements:
*Maintain 80% or better attendance on scheduled raid nights. The planned raiding schedule (subject to change) is Tuesday-Thurday, 9PM-12AM Eastern Time.
*Be at the scheduled raid zone, fully repaired and with all necessary supplies for the nights raiding, no less than 5 minutes before the scheduled start time. Tardiness will be fined 10GP.
*Have Ventrilo installed and be logged onto QI’s Vent server. A microphone is strongly recommended, but is not required.
*Have the following UI Mods Installed:
- Omen or some other threat meter
- Bigwigs/DeadlyBossMod
- Any other mods required by your class/role lead
*Have studied the posted strategies for the bosses we are attempting that night, if available, in order to reduce the amount of downtime required to explain the encounter.
*Be at your keyboard and respond when the raid leader performs a ready-check. If you must go AFK, notify your class/role lead beforehand. Being AFK for a ready-check more than once per night without notification will result in a 10 GP penalty.
Failure to meet these requirements may result in a player losing their raiding status with QI.
Players who wish to join QI but do not wish to raid are not expected to meet the above requirements, unless they request to begin attending raids.
Raiders can request to be temporarily moved to social rank if they know in advance that they will be unable to meet the above requirements for an extended period of time.
Issues Not Outlined
Any guild issues and policies not outlined either in this charter or in the Guild Policies section of the forum will be addressed by a consensus of the guild Officers and Guild Leader. As the guild grows and evolves, this charter and all other policy guideline will be updated as necessary.
